Good morning!
As you may know I let my hair go silver gray almost 2 years ago. It was a wild and fun journey, and one that I’m so delighted that I took on. I was nervous, being in the fashion and styling industry, what kind of response I was going to get, but I was DONE. Meaning DONE with tinting my hair every 3 weeks to cover up the gray.
I loved my dark hair but I also enjoy the process of growth and taking on new changes in my life. However, with respect to my hair, I was not enjoying the growth of my gray hair (I have been going gray since my early 20’s), and struggled with the new change that inevitably showed up every 3 weeks after the tinting process! I wanted to embrace the growth and celebrate the change. So I did.
Believe it or not, I made the decision to figure out a way to go gray as gracefully as I could (It was an amazing process – I’ll save that story for another day!), less than 6 months after I had just launched my new website brand which included all of my new photos – with all of my dark hair. Now, we do have the right to change up our hair style and color as often as we like. It’s part of how we can feel attractive and express our creativity, especially for the ladies, right?
OK, so I believed that for awhile and rode on that thought as an excuse to not update my website. I mean really, I just completed it. Did I really want to go through that process again so soon? I seriously thought not. Nothing else was different about me other than my hair color. No big deal.
But, as I have expressed here time and time again, the order of the day is “Authenticity.” Now I’m not saying that tinting your hair means you’re not being authentic to yourself. Not at all. I tinted my hair for years and felt completely authentic.
The thing is, every time I gave out my business card with my photo right there on it, kicking up my legs, dark brown locks surrounding my face, I felt the need to explain why I looked so different. I felt that it took attention away from what I did and placed it on what I looked like. Hellooo….Not a good thing since I use my business cards to promote my business.
When I went to see new clients for the first time, I felt like I was going on a “first date.” You know, when you meet someone the first time and they look drastically different from the photo they posted on their online dating profile? Can you relate? Only in this instance, I was the one that looked drastically different.
As time passed, and the more I embraced my new look, the more I dreaded handing out my business cards, and promoting my website and social media with a brand that no longer looked nor felt like me.
This girl got a new look; it was time my brand did too.
Although my new website has been up and running for a few weeks, today I am officially announcing the launch! And I am so excited over the new look!
Oh…I’m happy to say, the response I got and still get over my hair is overwhelmingly positive. Thankfully none of those “first dates” had a look of shock on their faces. If anything, I get kudos from my younger clients, a feeling of solidarity from silver sister clients, and delight from other clients who are thinking, “Yay!…If my stylist can do it, I can do it too!”
And from what I can tell, my new brand is getting overwhelming positive reviews as well. Please do me a favor and check it out and let me know what you think!
Now, it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Your insights and inspiration are appreciated so please share your stories in the comments below.

Hi, Cambria!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I am so happy with it! Delighted that you are letting yours grow out too! I saw your photo and it looks wonderful. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

hey Michelle,
I used to have fiery red hair that I absolutely loved. My natural hair color was a mousey brown so adding red to it was an easy thing for me to do. Loved the results but the upkeep was getting to be too much. I finally let my hair go grey. It is mostly gray with some brown (my natural brown) I use to be able to wear reddish browns but now with my grey hair I am not so sure anymore. Can you suggest anything?
Thanks!
Ritta

Hi, Leslie,
I am so sorry for the late reply. It has been quite busy with all of the sales of my Body-Type guides. I am currently writing my newsletter for the week. I will try and address your concerns in this week’s newsletter. If I don’t get to it, I promise I will soon. Stay tuned!

My sister told me to come here for advice. My wife (9 years) has a great ass, but she doesn’t show it. Sometimes I walk a little behind her to admire it but usually all I get to see is her blouse hanging over it unless the wind is my friend that day. She thinks her hair and her face are her best features(she is a natural blond and she is very pretty) but I am an ass man.
So my question is what kind of blouse can I buy her that she can wear out over her jeans that will not cover her ass? Are there specific blouses that just cover the belt and maybe just a little below? Don’t use my email address.
