New CSQ blog photoHey, There,

About two weeks ago I sent out an email about posting questions on our blog instead of emailing them to me so that all of the people who read the blog will be able to benefit from the questions and the answers. Thanks to so many of you who responded!

I mentioned that I would answer the style questions on the blog and that if I felt a question required more than just a short simple answer, I would create a newsletter addressing that particular question.

I received two personal emails from newsletter subscribers who felt that they couldn’t post their question on the blog because it wasn’t related to the topic of the blog.

Here they are:

  1. Sorry, but I’m not going to put my question to you as a comment on an unrelated blog topic. I’ll work it out myself.”
  2. Michelle, I got your newsletter. I’m a little confused about what to do. You want us to ask any questions that we have, here on your blog? What if it doesn’t relate to your topic? I feel foolish bringing up an issue that is not in line with the topic being discussed. Is there some other way to handle this?”

Thanks so much for letting me know your thoughts and feelings on the matter. I apologize that perhaps I wasn’t clear. You make the “Topic” by the question that you ask, regardless of what the blog topic is currently.

For the two of you who did not feel comfortable asking your questions on the blog because you didn’t feel they were related to the blog topic, I answered your questions, here on the blog. I hope it won’t be too much of problem for you to go here to read it. I am trying to make the blog “Topic Specific” so that the questions you ask become what the blog is all about at that moment.

That means, as far as I’m concerned, when you ask a question that is the topic. Everyone else who’s reading it can follow up on my answer.  There will be no questions that you ask that will be too far off topic because your question will be the topic. After all, no questions can really be off topic because I’m guessing every question is going to be about style or fashion.

Although please don’t feel limited. It is an open forum so any topic may be broached if you feel the desire. And of course you can certainly post anonymously and I will answer you as best as I can. You’d be surprised at what my clients ask me in and out of the closet! There is a reason why I’m also called a “Wardrobe Therapist.” PS: And as a therapist, “My lips are sealed.” 🙂

Here’s a few questions/comments that were posted on the blog in the order that they were posted:

1. Michele,

I got your email and I get it. No problem. I’m sorry if I ask you too many questions. I appreciate you always answering them for me. i will post my questions here from now on. Thanks!

Aziza

2. Hi michelle,

I decided to come back and ask a question about capris. The summer is here and I am confused about capris. I have fairly short legs so I’m not sure if they work on me, but I don’t want to wear shorts. Do you have any suggestions. Thx!

Love,

Sonja

3. Michelle,

I took your body type quiz and I am an inverted triangle. this was no surprise. I like my broad shoulders so can I wear black pants?

Thanks,

Sandy

4. michelle,

It’s been awhile since I was here last. I like my clothes loose, not because I’m a few pounds heavier (i’m not.) but because I want to be comfortable. How do I wear the “loose look” without looking heavier or frumpy? I feel like I am getting lost in my clothes and I do like my figure so I want to show it off and be comfy.

Love,

Bella

5. MICHELLE:

I’m going boating. Can I wear boat shoes with socks?

Thanks,

Dan

6. Michelle,

Can I wear leopard print for the summer? I feel like it is only acceptable in fall, but I LOVE leopard. Or is that a fashion myth? i could use some advise on if it will work. Thanks!

Leslie

Those were some pretty interesting questions asked, don’t you think? If any of these issues interest you or you just wish to peruse the Questions, Answers, and Comments you can read my answers to these questions on the last two blog posts in the “comments” section, by clicking here or here

The purpose of the blog is to give everyone an opportunity to benefit from, and share in, all the questions asked. The forum is set up for you to view them or be able to reread them at your leisure. I’ve tried to make it simple by addressing all questions that are asked on the blog in a timely manner.

So if someone asks a question, you can be sure that it will be answered in the “comments” section before the next blog is published. Again, if I feel that it requires more than a simple answer I will create an entire newsletter around that question, and post it as a blog article. (If you want to be a newsletter subscriber with all of the benefits that a subscriber get, click here.)  I’ll let you know that I plan to do that when I reply to your question on our blog. Clear? I hope so!

The blog is here to read all the Articles, Questions, Answers, and Comments, like a catalog. You can benefit from my answers and from other peoples’ answers and suggestions too. Although I like to think I know all there is to know about style :),  I’m sure that many of you have some wonderful answers from your own experiences with style that you can contribute too also. Please do. All of us will be the better for it!

Thanks for doing me this favor so that I am able to help as many of you as I can with your fashion and style dilemmas!

Now, it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you.  Your insights and inspiration are appreciated so please share your stories in the comments below.

If you have a question also post it in the comment section below.  I check it daily. Since the topic is always about fashion or style no question that you ask will be “off Topic.”

That means as far as I’m concerned, when you ask a question that is the topic. Everyone else who’s reading it can follow up on my answer. There will be no questions that you ask that will be too far off topic because your question will be the current topic. So…ask away!

Oh…and your email address is not “required” even though it says so. 🙂 Don’t even ask.

Blog me.

Love,

~Michelle
