From a functional necessity worn by bomber pilots in WWII to a fashion staple, worn by civilians and popularized as early as the 60’s, the bomber jacket has had decades of sartorial transformations.
I have a favorite go-to Chinese red floral printed silk that was gifted to me by a dear friend. Here’s a few more that appealed to me in a variety of price ranges:
#1 – Rag & Bone – Black velvet & leather bomber. Tough and edgy ($650 Barneys)
#2 – Belldini – Plus size, red lace bomber. Hot and sexy ($50 Macy’s)**
#3 – Sanctuary – Elongated bomber. Relaxed cool. ($169 Nordstrom)
#4 – Paige – Black sequin bomber. Shine day or night. ($398 Bloomingdale’s)
Do you have a fave? If so send me a photo of you in it and I’d be delighted to share it here. If not, perhaps one of my finds caught your eye.

Now, it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Your insights and inspiration are appreciated so please share your stories in the comments below.
If you have a question also post it in the comment section below. I check it daily. Since the topic is always about fashion or style no question that you ask will be “off Topic.”
That means as far as I’m concerned when you ask a question that is the topic. Everyone else who’s reading it can follow up on my answer. There will be no questions that you ask that will be too far off topic because your question will be the current topic. So…ask away!
Oh…and your email address is not “required” even though it says so. 🙂 Don’t even ask.
Blog me.
Love,
~Michelle
