Becoming The Beautiful Butterfly That You Are

Hi there,

“I used to see a butterfly in my mind’s eye every time I heard the word transformation, but life has schooled me. Transformation isn’t a butterfly. It’s the thing before you get to be a pretty bug flying away. It’s huddling in the dark cocoon and then pushing your way out. It’s the messy work of making sense of your fortunes and misfortunes, desires, and doubts, and hang-ups and sorrows, actions and accidents, mistakes and successes, so you can go on and become the person you must next become.”

Those aren’t my words. I took it from the book “Brave Enough” by Cheryl Strayed, writer of her best selling memoir “Wild,” given to me by my wonderful sister in law, Barbara Miller Moquin. Thank you, Barbara – I love this book of quotes!

Whether your transformation is a new baby, a new job, leaving a relationship, creating a new one, reinventing yourself, and any other metamorphosis that is happening in your life, I’m lucky because what I do allows me to see the beautiful butterfly that you already are while you’re going through your transformation.

You may experience butterflies in your stomach while in transformation, but like the butterfly stroke that raises you out of the water and glides you forward, I will be there to help you raise your confidence, spread your wings, and take your personal style to the next level.
