Lesley Evers Tees

I’m always looking for interesting, unique tops, and to me, they are always the hardest to find. For a well-rounded wardrobe, a ratio of 3 tops to every bottom is good. Because blouses and tees get worn out more quickly than our bottoms (skirts, slacks, and jeans), we’re most likely replacing tops more often. One, because they are more likely to get stained, and two, blouses and tees are usually made in fabrics that don’t hold up as well as our more sturdy bottoms. And thirdly, blouses are usually, if not a core basic, more of a statement piece that is a “want” and not necessarily a “need.”

Although lately, a statement piece has been a dire “need” for my wardrobe! Are you with me? If so, I suggest you keep reading.

Last week I started filming a new video for my website (More about that to come! Stay tuned!) at the Lesley Evers clothing store in Marin. While pulling for my darling client, Yoko, I came across, what I call a “Fantastic Fashion Find.”  And actually there was not one, but three of them!

Pretty fantastic, right? Which one is your fave?

If one of these has your name on it, don’t wait too long. These beauties were manufactured in a limited edition so I promise you they won’t last long. In fact, all of the textiles and clothing styles are designed by Lesley herself and only sold in her two boutiques. So no matter what you buy, you’re getting something very special and unique, from a super lovely and wonderfully talented local designer.

So drop by at either of the Lesley Evers stores, in Marin at the Town Center in Corte Madera, or in Oakland, in the Rockridge area. Oh…and for you ladies who enjoy supporting locally made, and love supporting women, (I do!), everything is made in Oakland by women – just 10 minutes from Lesley’s home. Can’t get any more local than that!

Of course, I couldn’t leave Lesley’s store without buying one “Fantastic Fashion Find” for myself (Actually two! Can you guess which other one I bought?). And…In fact, I confess –  I’ve been wearing it for the past three days.

Style tip: You know you love a piece when the minute you buy it you want to wear it – sometimes over and over again! This should be the feeling you get with every item you buy.

Now, it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you.  Your insights and inspiration are appreciated so please share your stories in the comments below.

If you have a question also post it in the comment section below.  I check it daily. Since the topic is always about fashion or style no question that you ask will be “off Topic.”

That means as far as I’m concerned when you ask a question that is the topic. Everyone else who’s reading it can follow up on my answer. There will be no questions that you ask that will be too far off topic because your question will be the current topic. So…ask away!

Oh…and your email address is not “required” even though it says so. 🙂 Don’t even ask.

Blog me.
